You can either train at an intense rate for a short period of time, or at low-intensity for a long period of time. Our methodology is based on brief, intense workouts that exercise the entire body in an effective and time-efficient manner. The only thing that makes this workout “too good to be true,” is that very few people understand how to correctly implement this methodology the way that we do. With our coaching and your commitment to giving your best effort for 20 minutes, you’ll be able to reshape your body with a much smaller time investment than it would take using other exercise methods. This question often comes from our female clients and the answer simply is, no. Slow-motion strength training will help you build lean muscle mass. By adding muscle, it will tone your body, as well as increase your metabolism to burn more fat. Since muscle is denser than fat, adding muscle and losing fat will make you smaller and firmer.

Your first session is for 40-minutes. You will receive 1-on-1 instruction on how to perform slow-motion strength training and will experience a real workout. Your Personal Trainer will determine how to tailor your workout based off experience level, current injuries and/or limitations. Together you will establish clear goals and a plan to achieve them! After that, all appointment lengths are 20 minutes. The workout itself takes approximately 20 minutes.

We primarily use Nautilus machines. They are specifically calibrated to accommodate the slow speeds we use in our workouts. A portion of the workout may require the use of free-weights or alternative equipment.

Absolutely! You do not need any prior experience with exercise to achieve results with our method. Because slow-motion strength training is so successful at transforming your body, it’s perfect for somebody who is not accustomed to working out. Our certified trainers give personalized instruction and work at a pace that is appropriate for each client. Our method is an ideal way to exercise for all levels of experience. Whether you have an advanced background in fitness or minimal knowledge of exercise, we encourage you try it for yourself! You can schedule an introductory session.

Generally, our clients should expect to see improvements within the first 6 weeks but some clients say they see and feel results almost immediately. Of course, results are determined on how well your body responds to the stimulus of exercise, your nutritional habits, and how effectively you learn to challenge your muscles. Different people see results in different amounts and at different rates.

Yes. Many of our clients have limitations or prior injuries that require us to modify the workout. Our Personal Trainers are qualified to accommodate most limitations. We recommend seeking the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

Yes. Each trainer goes through our extensive education process. Most personal training certifications do not require any hands-on training to get certified. At The Perfect Workout, our certification goes beyond books and heavily involves hands-on training with real people. We test our trainers’ knowledge and expertise with numerous written and practical exams. All Personal Trainers are AED/CPR certified and are required to complete continuing education as part of their employment with The Perfect Workout. 

We recommend working with a Personal Trainer to ensure you are achieving the full benefits of slow-motion strength training, both safely and effectively. It can be challenging to accomplish a productive workout both physically and mentally, and even more challenging to achieve that on your own. However, if you want to incorporate our methodology into your other workouts our Personal Trainers are able to provide you instruction.

Yes. Our program, partnered with proper nutrition, is the optimal way to see results. Our trainers can offer you nutritional assistance that aligns with your goals and dietary preferences.

Anything that you feel comfortable exercising in. The workout itself is brief and we keep our studios cool, so any clothing that is light weight and allows you to move easily in is best. Exercise apparel is recommended but not required; some of our clients have been known to workout on their lunch breaks wearing jeans or dress slacks.  But we do suggest arriving to the studio ready to workout.

We have a range of packages that vary in cost depending on the length of commitment, frequency of training and studio location. Our personal training sessions range from as low as $48 per session up to $85 per session with several options in between. It’s extraordinarily cost efficient because training one or two times per week with The Perfect Workout gives our clients the same amount of benefit as exercising three or four times a week for an hour with a regular trainer.
